A SERIOUS FIRST STEP
Since the founding of NYA-EVO making products more sustainable has been on the top of their to-do list since day one. Selling products in a space that asks so much from nature it is only fair that NYA-EVO as a company does their utmost best to support nature back, this is their first step. After strenuous tests NYA-EVO can finally say that their most popular Fjord 36 and Fjord 60-C backpack's main fabrics are now made with a sustainable ECONYL® fabric are ready for market.
NYA-EVO BELIEVES IN GOING FURTHER FOR THE SHOT AND THE PLANET
Transforming nylon waste, otherwise polluting the Earth, into ECONYL® — a regenerated nylon. It reduces the global warming impact of nylon by up to 90% compared with the material from oil.
THE RIGHT THING TO DO
NYA-EVO is taking this first step not because it helps the bottom line but because it is the right thing to do. NYA-EVO Co-founder and Head of Design, Jensen Pauwels, says, “We have had this vision for a number of years. The realisation of this fundamental change to our company was done under some seriously challenging circumstances; COVID pandemic, a messed up global supply chain, production lines out of sync - this just goes to show you how seriously we believe in this stance for our company. It was not easy and we are very proud that we were able to pull this off, ” he said.
The backpacks can now also compliment the newly updated RCIs (Removable Camera Inserts) which are made with 100% recycled polyester 600 denier rip-stop for the exterior and 100% recycled 150 denier rip-stop polyester for the interior..
CONSUME LESS
Sometimes the best way to be a conscious consumer is to consume less. So we made our backpacks even more hard wearing, with regenerated nylon and a design that’s engineered to last. Purchasing a NYA-EVO Fjord backpack will not only help you carry your precious gear safely and comfortably, but every purchase also looks after the planet we are on. It’s time for a brighter and more honest future in photography carry solutions.
