When you're carrying up to 50lbs of gear with you for a few weeks, you suddenly realise how important the bag on your back really is. Having spent many years (and wasted many £££s) finding the bag that worked for me, I finally found it with the introduction of Nya-Evo's Fjord series of rucksacks. Designed by a fantastic team in the Nordics, I use my Fjord 36 for smaller trips with one camera body, and the Fjord 60-C for longer expeditions with significantly more kit.

When I shoot in the mountains, I need to carry my camera equipment, but also the mountain safety gear, and to be able to access them easily. My bag has to be big enough while staying as light and comfortable as possible, so I can skin up and ski down with the athletes I'm filming. And when it's storming, it's important to have a bag that can handle the snow and keep your stuff dry. Depending on the project, I take the Fjord 36 or the Fjord 60 and am always happy with both.
